my ideal spring

it is raining here today which means that it is also a bit on the chilly side. i am wearing tights and a light jacket and blissfully happy. i do know that this weather anomaly won't last for more than a few days so soon enough i am going to be back on the spring clothing band wagon and would really kinda love to be wearing the items below :

we are officially central coast residents

last night mas and i attended our first pick up party for our first winery club and let me tell you it was fantastic. in case you were unaware the central coast is a little beach and a lot of wine. and with a lot of wine comes a lot of wineries which means ... there are an awful lot of wine clubs you can join.

our first membership came to be just a couple of weeks ago while we were out on a sunday wine tasting excursion. we signed up they sent us a letter and then we went for appetizers and tastes before picking up our four bottles of wine last night. did i mention that is was fantastic? well now we are going to begin collecting wine at a ridiculous pace and mas and i are the type of people that don't own a wine wrack.

so i am thinking a small section of wall (or counter top) covered in a few of these ...

flowers for you

in order to celebrate the fact that it is wednesday, because that is worth a bit of pretty.

ok that is it ... i give in

i am going to re-learn how to use my sewing machine. i am. it is currently sitting under the stairs ... in the dark ... just waiting for someone to love it again. well i have officially had it with seeing people create all sorts of cute and wonderful things and then wishing i could do the same. i can, and i will. starting with some built by wendy patterns and the mercy of someone who will teach me for the millionth time how to thread the needle and use the bobbin.

thanks darling dexter for the last push ").

i love this love

it came to my attention about a week ago that there is a good chance i lost a necklace my dad gave me for christmas my sophomore year of high school. mas swears he has seen me wear it since our move last spring but i have been racking my brain trying to remember where and then rummaging through my drawers in an attempt to find out what i did with it. it will break my heart if i don't find it. i mean i wore it for 7 years without taking it off once.

ANYWAY the reason i went looking for it was because i had an urge to wear something pretty, small, delicate and gold. and while i continue to tear the house apart in search for my necklace i will allow myself to enjoy the sight of this one. isn't it pretty and small and delicate and gold?

my very own iccle!

i mentioned these little guys a bit ago and then yesterday i received one in my mailbox! (thanks mom!) can i tell you how much i love him? no i don't think i can. in fact i am having a hard time grasping the concept myself. he just makes me so happy with his wee little body and button eyes. he is now named omar after omar little from the wire (my favorite character EVER ... please i am not done with the series so if you know of omar's future i don't want to hear it!) and hanging on our wall.

poster love

constant inspiration and honestly a pretty great place to find new music (at least for the non-audiophile that is me).

so ... check out this ridiculous treasure trove of goodies aka poster cabaret.

this is who i want to be today

but instead i threw on a pair of slightly clean jeans and an obama shirt my mom sent me a while back. working from home certainly has its perks on those oh god do i really have to get dressed days.

poolga

i like my pictures to be my iphone wallpaper, but ...

i like these too. now i just change my wallpaper on a (more) regular basis and i like it. did you know that i thrive off of change? it is true. i make mas help me rearrange the furniture regularly, i haven't lived in a city for longer than 3.5 years since high school, and sometimes i change my clothes at noon just because. so you see this poolga thing is very well suited for me. {thanks east side for opening my eyes}

my heart's a flutter with j.crew ... again

the details, oh my the details. is it bad to have a dream list of wedding dresses way after the wedding is over?
