things.

heath. pretty, pretty heath via the new mom.

apparently you can make peelable wallpaper out of fabric and corn starch, i'm so very tempted. via dandelion & grey.

urban outfitters is getting into the wedding industry? i know it is the place to be, but really? i'm intrigued ... or confused? {image not from uo but from here instead}

wedding wednesday on tuesday

because my schedule has been everywhere recently i kinda figured it wouldn't be too horrible if i posted this a day early. and i am kinda in love with it and maybe couldn't wait ... serious self control issues over here. but isn't it pretty?

and dare i say reasonably priced? coming in at $1000 ($1500 if you opt for a fitting with the designer in la). oh yeah and it is made of memory fabric with metal threading for adjustable volume ... lovely.

more info here.

the hair

i saw the first picture on 100 layer cake and started teasing my hair without even noticing it. then i went to the duston todd website and saw the other pictures. oh how bold, how refreshing, how sick of slicked back up-do's am i?

unfortunately my hair is stick straight and refuses to do anything even half as cool.

brace yourself for some pretty amazing owl action

alright, these save the dates are fantastic. there is simply no denying it. and can you guess the designer? if you think really hard, i bet you can ...

if you were thinking this girl, well you were right. jamie (the almost architect) has been dabbling in the world of paper goods for a while now. you have seen her invites, her amazing paper cuts and now some of the ridiculous work she is doing for her friends.

don't you want to be one of those friends? yeah, so do i. ALTHOUGH rumor has it that she might be interested in doing such things for complete strangers ... you know if you just encourage her a little bit (so, um encourage!).

and ps - the owls on the save the dates were inspired by this guy.

i need more owls in my life.

would you?

dress, yes absolutely. but those tights? i'm not sure. i mean i really, really, really want to say i could totally pull this look of for a wedding, but ...

now what to wear on your head and toes???

{alexander wang dress; falke tights}

i have been waiting for wednesday to post these

it was hard. very, very, very hard not to post these pictures by lillian and leonard wedding photography (aka peonies and her boy) but i started wedding wednesdays for a reason right?

i love those wellies with the other shoes, and hello fabulous headgear. could we maybe try to bring the bold hair adornments into mass popularity here in the states? PLEASE?!

for more images click here ... and there are so many more.

fore real? for real?

talk about confections and wanting to jump in ... again. i just saw a sketch for jenna's wedding dress over at 100 layer cake. it's being made by her sister, HER SISTER! i really love pretty dresses.

wedding wednesdays?

whenever i decide to start a pattern in my blogging habits they promptly go straight out the window. so i am not saying this is going to happen, but maybe just maybe i will start collecting all of my wedding thoughts (which seem to be fewer and fewer these days) and post them on wednesdays. you know to keep some order. and to start ...

did you see the pictures from the recent chelsea fuss/lisa warninger/elizabeth dye/twigs and honey shoot? you know i love chelsea and lisa and elizabeth and myra so i am sure it comes as no surprise that i am in love with the few images i have seen. that wall of pages? wow. those dresses, ohhhh. the ace hotel (my absolute favorite) and twigs and honey ... come on.

a layer of froth is so good

kelly posted this picture and when i saw it i just wanted to jump feet first into this confection. oh so pretty.

i LOVE a bride in galoshes

how could you not? i found this wedding over at the new to me blog the flash dance which is a pretty rockin collaboration between some of my most favorite wedding types - our labor of love, max wanger and michael antonia (see more about him over at east side bride - if esb bride likes him you know he rocks).

so ... you should check this flash dance business out because it is quite a good time.

ohhh pretty

meg posted these two dresses by sarah seven and i am once again thinking i need a few more white dresses in my wardrobe. for what you ask? um, i dunno, frolicking in the sand or lolling through a forest, maybe even dancing under the stars? or you (bride's to be) could support the etsy seller yourself and end up with a simply stunning wedding dress made just for you by someone that will probably take the time to learn your name. i'm just saying.

it's love and weddings but without the cheese

when i saw these dresses over at east side bride i kinda started dreaming about a wedding. not my wedding part II or anything of the sort, but perhaps a friend's wedding? maybe a cousin's?

they are all made from eco-friendly materials and far too cool for the average wedding. for more pictures of more dresses head over to blushless.

24 February 2009

you have seen this, right?

there is a new kid in the wedding world! 100 layer cake is a site not to be missed. brought to you by a group of ladies, one of which i know you are quite familiar with. anyway their blog is up now and they promise much, much more in the future. so scurry on over and prepare for a world of wedding wonder.

17 February 2009

would you?

because i totally would ... but then again i can't really get enough tulle or organza ... ever.

{from max chaoul via fashion bride}

best. dress. ever.

i remember the first time i saw this dress ... it was late january of last year and i had already purchased my wedding dress. seeing this one threw me into a slight funk that lasted longer than it should have. but in the end it all worked out and now i can just look at these images and be completely and totally in awe.

what to wear on your head ... round 2

yesterday on a practical wedding it was east side, and today it is peonies. i highly recommend checking out both posts in regards to bridal head goodness because they are just fantastic. plus they make me want to start seriously investing in things for my head and i am guessing you might feel the same way (bride or no bride).

if we start a petition do you think she will show us some more???

check out a practical wedding today and get a little peek into east side bride's wedding, which in case you hadn't noticed is nowhere to be found on the internets. also in the little post are a few pretty amazing picks for hair adornments, that is if you can manage to take your eyes off of her and h-town.

05 February 2009

ohhh my favorite

i first saw this on {frolic!} and just found out that it is for sale at the twigs and honey etsy shop! if only i had somewhere or something to wear it with. i am tempted to grab it so when the time comes i am prepared ...

ohhh so pretty.

my heart's a flutter with j.crew ... again

the details, oh my the details. is it bad to have a dream list of wedding dresses way after the wedding is over?
