i am so happy it is friday ... i hope everyone does something fantastic and note-worthy saturday and/or sunday ... then come back and tell me about it. i think we are just going to sit in a vegitative state a release the stress from the week so i will need some good stories.

someone really needs to stop me

i mean this could get dangerous. i am currently trying so very hard to convince myself that i DO NOT need 20 rolls of colorful japanese masking tape. really you wouldn't think this would be so hard to do, really, who in the world needs 20 rolls of anything?!? not me. but boy do i want them. i don't even have plans for them, i just want to stare at them. is that so wrong? maybe you could buy them instead? you know just so i don't have to torment myself anymore ...

and i know i am not alone in this. though if i think about it i suppose frances does come pretty close ... and she even cuddles in my lap when i am stressing at my computer.

leafyness

it reminds me of sushyness (the orba squara album that contains the iphone song). i love it when people add an extra y and then a "ness." it just makes me happy.

so, in fact, does the print that leafyness describes, how cute is it? i think it needs a wall to live on and just emanate it's leafyness from.

in house happenings

good morning. it is rainy and kinda cozy here this morning so it makes for a good day to get my ducks in a row. for example did you notice the new banner? isn't it fantastic? it was created by the ever so lovey and wonderful jenna hein.

also i am trying out a new invitation process over on etsy. print your own invites. you can head over to the shop to see the designs up close, but basically the way it works is :

1. you pick your design and place your order.
2. we chat about what you want your invites to say and what colors you fancy
3. i email your print ready files and step-by-step instructions (and paper recommendations if you are interested) and then you print them off at home.

easy as pie.

i just found a dead white spider in my favorite decorative branch and it kinda freaked me out. but then i also just found gretchen mist and she kinda made me happy. i love mixed media collages and anything landscape(ish). view her etsy shop here.

my very own iccle!

i mentioned these little guys a bit ago and then yesterday i received one in my mailbox! (thanks mom!) can i tell you how much i love him? no i don't think i can. in fact i am having a hard time grasping the concept myself. he just makes me so happy with his wee little body and button eyes. he is now named omar after omar little from the wire (my favorite character EVER ... please i am not done with the series so if you know of omar's future i don't want to hear it!) and hanging on our wall.

i first saw these over at thoughtful day. needless to say i fell in love. i don't have a penchant for stuffed animals, i mean i used to but that is no longer the case. however ... i think i would feel differently if it meant i could have a few of these guys to scatter across bookshelves and various other places. abigail brown you always find a way to warm my heart.
