So.

It's been a while.  Let's not pretend it hasn't, but let's also just let that slide by.  So much has been happening and eventually I'll let you in on all of it, though don't get too excited, it's all pretty ho-hum, nothing crazy.  For now though can we talk about FALL?  How amazing it is?  How it's not summer anymore?  Can we also talk about boots and buffalo plaid?  The former I've never really been a fan of, until recently, and I've gone crazy for them.  The latter has always been a favorite.  So you can imagine my excitement when they both came into my life this week in their most amazing of ways. you guys, i'm going nuts over here for this bag. i want to grab it and love it and use it all summer long.  it's kind of the perfect size, my total obsession with neon has only strengthened over the months, and dare i say it is affordable? plus, the colors are much better than those offered up by kate spade for the scout, which has been in my shopping cart for ages now.

HELP.

i need a new laptop case for my most amazing 15" macbook pro.  after lusting after this clare vivier i've decided it is not as much protection as it is awesome.  and while i like awesome when it comes to things that carry things, i need something that will prevent my life (i.e my laptop) from cracking in half (or denting or scratching etc, etc) when traveling.  i'm a FREAK when it comes to protecting my electronics, so i need something sturdy.  for my black macbook i used this black incase sleeve.  it worked well, but i want something new ... and amazeballs. mmmmmm k?  thanks.

i've been searching high and low for a new bag.  one that isn't too big, all of my bags are too big, but at the same time, it needs to hold my shit.  i would like for it to be awesome, and this one is awesome.  i guess i would also prefer it if it were in my price range ...

why, oh why it ever went anywhere i HAVE NO IDEA. i bought myself one way back in the day (ok it was only about four years ago) in a sumptuous dark green and have loved it ever since. it holds everything and i mean everything. though the new ones seem a little stiff and the price seems a bit inflated i am happy to see that botkier has gone back to the basics (at least a wee bit).

i have been head over heels for gryson since i first laid eyes on the most gorgeous oliva bag a couple years back. i found a metallic version on sale a while ago and was so close to purchasing it, but even at 60% off it seemed a silly purchase (plus do i really like metallic leather bags???). so when i happened upon this mia kaos bag i had to get up and leave my computer immediately for fear of what would happen next. after the appropriate amount of time (and jalepeno cheddar chips) i walked back into my office took a couple of deep breaths and added this beautiful item to my daydreaming wish list, it may even have taken the number one spot.

though i have been disappointed with most of the accessory designer collaborations target has offered i still find myself checking my calendar to see if i am going to be free on the day of their release. despite them picking some of my favorite makers of accessories (hello botkier, loeffler randall and gryson) the faux leather and poor stiching tends to weigh down all of the bags, and don't even get me started on the shoes. anyway anya hindmarch is debuting her collection on-line on the 8th of october and i will be there to check it out. it also hits store on the 12th which means i will mostly likely hold out on purchasing anything (assuming there is something to be purchased) until i see it in real life. you can check out the collection now here.
