remember that couch i wanted to reupholster?

well it is in the early stages of actually changing. right now it's only in the stage of throw some drop cloths over it and call it a day, but that is pretty significant for our household.

ps - anyone have any awesome sources for lampshades? we are in desperate need of a few and can't find anything that moves us. we also need a new coffee table, but that is an entirely different conversation.

  1. You can make your own lampshade pretty easily, I did. I have a link to a good flickr tutorial on my blog. http://justinechambers.blogspot.com/2010/05/lamps.html. Just pick up an old lampshade from somewhere and some nice fabric a bit of glue and a million clothes pegs and you're good to go.

  5. The giveaway has ended, but this post has a great link to a site that lets you design your own lamp shade. Super cool (and one of my fav home design sites):

  6. I agree with justine, and it is easier to cover a drum shade.
